Southern Morocco (High Atlas, Draa Valley, Sahara Desert)
Southern Morocco offers a dramatic landscape of contrasting terrains—from the High Atlas Mountains to the golden dunes of the Sahara. This 4-day excursion combines cultural exploration of ancient Kasbahs, a journey along the Rose Valley, and a surreal camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Highlights include a desert sunset dinner with Gnaoua music and sunrise over the dunes.
- Departure: Marrakech at 7:00 AM.
- Route: Drive through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, descending to the southern slopes of the High Atlas. Continue via Ouarzazate along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” to Boumalen Dades. Explore the Dades Valley’s terraced fields and cliffside villages.
- Accommodation: Overnight at Hôtel Xaluca Dades (half-board).
- Duration: ~6 hours driving.
- Activities:
- Morning hike through the Todgha Gorges.
- Drive to Tinghir and visit the ancient underground irrigation system Khottara .
- Lunch in Rissani with a tasting of Medfouna (local specialty).
- Continue to Merzouga; transfer by 4×4 to Golden Dune Luxury Camp in the Erg Znagui dunes.
- Afternoon camel ride and sunset dinner under the stars with Gnaoua music .
- Accommodation: Overnight in luxury desert tents (dinner included).

Day 03 :
Merzouga – Agdz
- Activities:
- Sunrise hike to the top of a dune for panoramic views.
- Return to camp for breakfast, then drive via Alnif and Tazarine to Agdz in the Draa Valley.
- Accommodation: Overnight at Dar Qamar (half-board).
- Duration: ~5 hours driving.
- Activities:
- Visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou .
- Drive through the Ounila Valley to Telouate , home to the Glaoui’s Kasbah.
- Return to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
- Duration: ~6 hours driving.
